How to Get to Penobscot Bay Family Church from Lincolnville:
If you are on the bay side of Lincolnville near Lincolnville Beach, click here to follow the Lincolnville Beach directions.
Follow Route 52 to the blinker in Camden Center at US Route 1. Bear right onto Route 1 South. You have two ways to get to Thomaston. The easy way is to stay on Route 1 South all the way to Thomaston. Our building is 0.3 miles past the lights at the 1/131 junction. (To get to our parking lot in the rear, take a left onto Roxbury St. just after the Speed Limit 25 sign, then a right onto Gleason St.; weíre the first building on the right.)
The not-quite-as-easy way is to take Old County Road from Route 1 South. It goes right at the light AFTER the lights at Pen Bay Medical Center. You donít actually go through the light; thereís a poorly-marked lane on the right that avoids the light. Take Old County Road all the way to the end (youíll go straight at one set of lights), then take a right onto Route 1 and go 0.4 miles to get to Roxbury St. (see above).
If youíre really looking for adventure, there are various ways to sneak through the side streets of Camden from Route 52 and end up on Meadow St., which you can follow to Route 17 South, then Old County Road at the first light in Rockland, at which you go right and follow Old County Road to the end, which is Route 1. Go right on Route 1 South to Roxbury Street (see above) after only 0.4 miles. This avoids most of Route 1 and Camden Center. However, it involves so many twists and turns that itís too hard to follow for people who donít already know how to do it.
Once you enter the parking lot, you will see a blue awning with two doors underneath it. Which door you use depends on whether you want to take the stairs or the elevator to the second floor.
The left door leads to the stairs; take the stairs up 1 1/2 flights and our sanctuary is the first room (206) on the left.
The right door leads to the elevator; take the elevator to the second floor, go left out of the elevator area, then left again; our sanctuary (room 206) is on the right just before the stairwell.
