How to Get to Penobscot Bay Family Church from Frankfort, Hampden, Prospect and Winterport:

Get on Route 1A South to Stockton Springs. 1A ends at the intersection of Route 1. Bear right onto Route 1 South and follow Route 1 South toward Rockland.

Fastest Route:

As you approach Rockland, you will see a set of lights at the driveway to Pen Bay Medical Center on the left.  At the next set of lights, there will be a poorly-marked lane to the right to go to Old County Road that you can take without actually going through the lights. Take this right and follow Old County Road straight through a set of lights at Route 17 all the way to the end where it intersects Route 1 again.  Take a right onto Route 1 South for 0.4 miles.  Just after the Speed Limit 25 sign, take a left onto Roxbury Street.  Take the first right into Gleason Street; our parking lot is immediately on the right.

Easiest Route:

Follow Route 1 South through Rockland, where it takes a right turn at an intersection with a Dairy Queen. Just after the Speed Limit 25 as you come into Thomaston, take a left onto Roxbury Street. Take the first right into Gleason St.; our parking lot is immediately on the right.

Here are some landmarks while following Route 1 South and how far they are from the left into Roxbury Street to get to our parking lot:

Dairy Queen intersection where Route 1 turns right in Rockland -- 3.7 miles
Traffic Light at Lowe’s in Thomaston -- 1.8 miles
Old County Road intersection (southern end) -- 0.4 miles
Traffic Light at Route 1/131 Intersection  -- 0.3 miles

Once you enter the parking lot, you will see a blue awning with two doors underneath it. Which door you use depends on whether you want to take the stairs or the elevator to the second floor.

The left door leads to the stairs; take the stairs up 1 1/2 flights and our sanctuary is the first room (206) on the left.

The right door leads to the elevator; take the elevator to the second floor, go left out of the elevator area, then left again; our sanctuary (room 206) is on the right just before the stairwell.
